It may be largely symbolic, but Los Angeles has become the biggest US
city to boycott Arizona. City Councillors voted to stop doing business
with companies in the neighbouring state - in protest at Arizona's
controversial new immigration law. In reality many contracts between
the two states will stay in place - it would be impractical to change
them. But the message from LA is loud and clear: Arizona's new law
"encourages racial profiling and is unconstitutional."
