Meeting Dr Life
Dr Jeffry Life, the 74-year old with the body of a man less than half his age, in Las Vegas last week. You may have seen his ads in fitness and airline mags. The former family doctor turned age management guru will be part of the BBC documentary I'm working on, looking at the latest science behind man's quest for eternal youth. Dr Life credits hormone replacement - regular injections of testosterone - for his physical transformation. He is also slavishly devoted to lifting weight and Pilates. He also told me that he is he "gambling" on a supplement called TA-65 as a possible step towards agelessness. It is claimed that TA-65 will help maintain or increase the length of telomeres, which play a role cellular aging.
