Does social media use encourage teenagers to start drinking and smoking?

According to a study carried out by the University of Southern California, teenagers are more likely to take up drinking and smoking if their friends - and their friends - are seen online, engaging in the same activity. I spoke to the study's main author, Dr Tom Valente, on BBC Radio 5 Live's Up All Night.
