Jacob Margolis: The Big One podcast, KPCC

It is 25 years since the Northridge earthquake (magnitude 6.7) claimed 57 lives and injured more than 8 thousand people in Los Angeles.  But the quake, on January 17, 1994, may pale in magnitude compared with the expected 'big one' - a massive event that scientists say is long overdue on the San Andreas fault. To mark the anniversary and help people prepare for what could be a catastrophic disaster in Southern California, KPCC science reporter Jacob Margolis hosts a new podcast, The Big One: Your Survival Guide.
